- The Basics of Saving and Investing: Investor Education 2020—The Basics is an investor education and protection teaching guide. - Investor Education @ your library—The American Library Association (ALA) and the Investor Protection Trust (IPT) have teamed up to carry out investor education in America's public libraries. Campaign for Wise and Safe Investing—The Campaign for Wise and Safe Investing is a collaboration between the Investor Protection Trust (IPT) and the AARP Foundation reaching out to consumers age 50+ with investor education and protection messages. The Campaign will also collaborate with participating State Securities Offices and AARP State Offices to customize and implement the Campaign at the state level.
The first phase of the Campaign will consist of research, data collection and interviews/focus groups. The research and data collection will identify the issues and topics to be explored in the interviews/focus groups with the specific population segments. Utilizing the results of the research, IPT and the AARP Foundation have developed materials including print and radio PSAs, brochures, web articles, print articles, etc., that are being used at the national level and the State level face to face activities.
- National MoneyTrack Public Television Series—MoneyTrack is a national public television series devoted to helping consumers learn to invest successfully and get control of their personal finances. Now in it's second year, each MoneyTrack episode contains: lifestyle-driven segments using real people and providing step-by-step demonstrations designed to educate and empower the consumer; "Investing 101" to illustrate important concepts, such as how to get started investing at any age and how to handle cash flow crunches and credit; and a "Scam Alert" report to help viewers avoid the most common frauds.
